To obtain a vehicle release from Fairfield Township Police Department, follow these instructions.
You must be the registered owner to obtain a police release to retrieve your vehicle.
Documents required to obtain a release:
1. Valid Driver’s License or State ID
2. Vehicle Title or Valid Vehicle Registration
Take your state ID or Driver's License along with your vehicles title or registration to the Fairfield Township Police Department.
When you go to Fairfield Township Police Department advise the personnel on duty that you are there to obtain a vehicle release for an impounded vehicle.
The records department will confirm you are the registered owner of the vehicle and give you a form to take back to the towing company.
If your vehicle has a “hold” placed on it or the registered owner is unable to go to the police department in person to obtain the release. Contact the Fairfield Township records department at (513) 887-4406 (option 2) to figure out your next steps. If required documents are inside of your vehicle at the tow yard, documents can be retrieved by the registered owner during business hours.
